Get a sneak peak of the new ING app

We’re building the app of the future
Thank you for joining us as we test out our new ING app. As a valued friend or family member of our team, you’re among the very first to experience the all-new ING app and provide critical feedback to shape the way it comes together. The new ING app delivers a streamlined banking experience and is built on an upgraded tech platform, so that we can bring you more features at a faster pace. We look forward to hearing your thoughts – good, bad or otherwise.
Orange Everyday, Savings Accelerator and Savings Maximiser only (for now!)
To make sure everything runs smoothly, the early access app will only include Orange Everyday, Savings Maximiser and Savings Accelerator. We’re starting small so that we can get things just right – but don’t worry, more products are on the way soon!
Your exclusive access: How to get started
As this is a special pilot program, you’ll need to download the app in a slightly different way than normal via Apple or Google’s testing platforms. Don’t worry, it will only take a few minutes! Follow the steps below for iOS and Android.
What you’ll need
iOS (Apple)
Download ‘TESTFLIGHT’ from the Apple app store. While this is downloading, go to your Apple ID linked email inbox on your device.
Look for an email from ‘TESTFLIGHT’ in your Apple ID registered email inbox.
Hint: you may need to search for ‘TESTFLIGHT’.
Clicking the link from your iPhone/iPad will take you to the ‘TESTFLIGHT’ App where you will see the ING pilot app.
Install the app, it will appear as a new app on your device.
From here, click on your new app icon and go through to enrolment/registration. You’ll need to have your Client Number and Access Code here.
Tip: Your Client Number can be found in the legacy app, on the back of your Orange Everyday Visa Card or Orange One Credit Card, or on a statement
Use the app and provide feedback to the project team.
Android
When the pilot commences a link will be provided to you. Instructions for how to locate the link will be supplied in the official program invite email.
Enter this link into your Android device and it will take you to the Play Store to download the pilot app. This link cannot be accessed from a PC or Apple device.
Install the pilot app on your personal device (your device must be running Android 8 or above).
Note: you will now have 2 ING banking Apps on your phone (old app and new app and both work the same)
Click on the new app and complete enrolment/registration. You’ll need your Client Number and Access Code here.
Help us build the future
We’re eager to hear your thoughts, suggestions, and even any challenges you encounter. Your feedback will be invaluable and directly influence the development of the new ING app, ensuring it meets the needs of real people like you!

We’re aware of a few bugs in the new app and the team is working on fixes. No need to report these – we’ve got them covered:
- Some closed accounts are still showing
Yep, that’s not supposed to happen. We’re on it. - Push notifications toggle is visible but not active
You might see the option to turn on push notifications in the “More” menu – but it’s not live just yet. Coming soon! - Account nicknames aren’t showing
Any nicknames you’ve set won’t appear in the new app just yet. You’ll see the product name instead. (Fun, emoji-friendly nicknames are coming soon 👀) - The product name changes don’t sync with the legacy ING app
If you rename a product in the new ING app, it won’t reflect in the legacy app. The alignment will be coming in the next update. - Some transactions are missing descriptions
We know this one’s frustrating. A fix is on the way. In the meantime, you can check your transactions in the Legacy ING App or via online banking. - Some payments are showing as positive when they’re actually debits
The balance is still correct – it’s just the display that’s off. We’re fixing this soon. - Balance display can be confusing
The primary balance shows your current balance, while the secondary one shows your available balance (with pending payments already deducted). We’re making this clearer. - Screenshots are restricted on some devices
You won’t be able to take screenshots on Android phones. - Balances and transactions may take a few minutes to appear
There can be a short delay in updates – we’re working on speeding things up.

Your questions answered
Just as secure as the Legacy ING app. We’ve built the new app with the same strong security foundations you already trust—and we’re continuing to add even more features to help protect you from scams and fraud.
Your safety is our top priority, and we’re always working behind the scenes to stay one step ahead.
To use the new mobile app, your device must be either iOS or Android.
For iOS, your iPhone needs to have iOS 15 or above (check your operating system details in ‘Settings’).
For Android, any device running Android 8 or above is supported (check your operating system details in ‘Settings’ > About Phone > Software Information).
We are introducing a 5-digit PIN to the new ING app to help keep your account even more secure. It is specifically 5 digits to avoid common numbers like postcode or date of birth.
It’s a small change that adds a layer or protection – helping to keep your banking safe.
For quick answers take a look around this website or contact the ING staff member who invited you to the pilot. You can also send an email to the ING future of mobile support team at futureofmobile@ing.com with your question and they will respond within 1 business day.
