When will my transaction go through?
Money transfer times
How long the money will take to reach its destination depends on the type of transaction. All cut off times mentioned below are Australian Eastern Standard times.
Deposits via Direct Debit
If you deposit money via direct debit from your linked account at another financial institution into your ING savings account or home loan before 7pm on a business day, it will take up to three business days before you can use these funds.
Withdrawals
If you withdraw money from an ING account to your linked bank account before 7pm on a business day the funds will generally be available the next business day.
BPAY®
If you pay a bill with BPAY before 4pm on a business day, the funds will take 2-3 business days to reach the biller.
Pay Anyone at ING
Pay Anyone transactions to other ING accounts are instantaneous, although if it’s the first time you’ve transferred over $1000 it will take up to one business day.
Pay Anyone to another financial institution
Pay Anyone transactions to another financial institution takes approximately 1-2 business days to reach the other institution.
Real Time Payments
Payments made successfully using the New Payments Platform (or also referred as OSKO® payments) will be available in the receiver’s bank instantly, such as PayID®. Payments made from an Orange Everyday bank account through the New Payments Platform (including Osko) will be capped at $5,000 per day per account.
Cheques
From the date we receive your cheque, it generally takes up to 7 calendar days for it to clear. However, if depositing your cheque at Australia Post, please allow 10 calendar days.
SWIFT
If the SWIFT is received on a non-business day (i.e. weekend or public holiday) it should be received the following business day.
Visa Direct
Visa Direct transactions made within Australia will usually clear on the same day. International Visa Direct transactions usually clear within 2 business days.
